CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

Enhance productivity by identifying the strengths, not weeknesses, of your employees...

Many businessmen and managers spend too much time trying to change employess who underperform.

They falsely believe that they can entice an employee to improve on his performance with additional training or even a treat of dismissal.

The successful manager concentrates on developing the strenghts of his team members and not trying to correct their weaknesses.

Sometimes you have to work round a weakness, but you cannot change people into what they are not.

If you have a salesman on your team who is not bringing in the sales or a production engineer who is not hitting his quota, then you have to decide what to do with him.

An employee may try to convince you of his capabilities because he is unwilling to accept defeat but many people are in wrong job and industries.

Ask yourself: Is this person not producing results because he does not have the ability that can be resolve with more training? Or is there another reason behind his poor performance?

It is important to recognise that the individual simply cannot do the job. What you need to do is assign duties in area where they can produce result or just get them out of your team.

Yep. sedar x sedar it happens in most company.

Mungkin anda salah sorang darinya. Its not totally your fault.

U attended an interview and won the job. Strongly i believed that u all dah cerita latar belakang, pendidikan and most important, apa kebolehan & kelebihan yg ada pd anda berpandukan apa yg telah anda belajar ketika di IPT dulu.

Of course b4 we seeking for a job, it must 1st suitable for our education background. Post for IT engineer must goes to IT Engineering related student. We all clear about that.

Tapi bila lapor diri, mula bekerja, apa yg jadi kita diletakkan di bahagian yg tidak sepatutnya. Skop kerja yg kita terima berada luar dari kebolehan yg kita ada. Malah ramai yg terpinga2 x tahu nak buat apa bila dtg ke opis.

Production menurun, manager menggelabah..kelam kabut sana..kelam kabut sini...mula la cari salah orang...timbul pulak isu kambing hitam sebab nak tutup salah sendiri..

I just dunno what is all about....

You created the problem from the begining...and now u turn to salahkan org lain..
